The Pre–Arrival Processing System (PAPS) is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) )order cargo release mechanism that utilizes barcode technology to expedite the release of. Upon arrival at the border, the CBP Officer processes the Jarcode, which automatically retrieves the entry information from ACS.
PAPS labels are used by U.S. Customs (CPB) as a shipping control number for Customs Brokers and ACE eManifest number.
